China Airlines unveils new counters and services at Songshan Airport

The check-in counters for China Airlines passengers at Taipei Songshan Airport have moved to a new location. They have been relocated from the original eastern Block 1 counters to Blocks 5 and 6 in front of the new central office between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, adjacent to the MRT station entrance and exit for greater convenience. The wall of the eastern counters features an engraved world map highlighting four major metropolitan airports: Taipei Songshan, Tokyo Haneda, Shanghai Hongqiao, and Seoul Gimpo, showcasing the airline’s ambition to become a key hub in East Asia’s golden aviation circle.

In line with its long-term push for digital services, China Airlines has also set up a dedicated self-service check-in area at its new Songshan Airport counters, featuring four Common Use Self Check-in Kiosks (CUSS) along with baggage drop-off facilities. This allows passengers to check in online, print boarding passes and baggage tags, and complete baggage check-in procedures independently. Additionally, Blocks 5 and 6 are the first to introduce dedicated check-in counters for passengers with reduced mobility, making them wheelchair-friendly. Each counter also has a newly designed small shelf for passengers to place travel documents and other items.
