The Taiwan Tourist Shuttle’s Southern Village route has been operating for a full year, serving over 110,000 passengers. To encourage more visitors to take the shuttle during Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and the Lunar New Year holidays, Miaoli County Government has launched the “Ring in the New Year in Southern Village – Ride the Shuttle & Get Gifts” campaign from now until February 29, 2012. For just NT$100, you can get a Taiwan Tourist Shuttle 1-Day Pass, and by collecting these one-day pass stubs, you can exchange for a variety of creative souvenirs including a travel mug, a tourist map towel, a wine bottle parasol, and a cultural and creative messenger bag.

During the campaign period, passengers can ride the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle’s Southern Village route for just NT$100 for a 1-Day Pass. In addition to unlimited rides on the day of purchase, those staying at a licensed Southern Village homestay or hotel can get their accommodation stamped and enjoy an extra free day of shuttle rides. Moreover, collect 3 one-day pass stubs to exchange for 1 travel mug at the Southern Village Post Office (Southern Village Tourism Industry Association); 5 stubs for 1 tourist map towel; 10 stubs for 1 specially designed scenic area wine bottle parasol; and 20 stubs for 1 cultural and creative messenger bag.
