EVA Air's Hello Kitty Globe Plane Makes Its First Flight to Tokyo Today

EVA Air’s third Hello Kitty second-generation livery aircraft — the Globe Plane — commenced its Taipei–Tokyo route (BR2198/BR2197) today (12/26). This comes after its introduction on the Taipei–Hong Kong route before Christmas. EVA Air also plans to operate the Taipei–Guam route with a Hello Kitty livery aircraft starting January 3, 2012.

The “Globe Plane” is the third brand-new A330-300 aircraft introduced by EVA Air this year, featuring the design theme “Hello Kitty Around the World.” It highlights how EVA Air’s Hello Kitty livery aircraft bring the world closer together, allowing everyone to travel the globe and collect touching memories along the way.

In terms of travel products, EVA Air has specially packaged various tour packages from Hong Kong and Tokyo that include flights on the Hello Kitty Jet to Taiwan. The airline hopes the new aircraft will attract more international travelers to visit Taiwan on the Kitty Jet for a delightful trip. For Taiwanese travelers, EVA Air has also partnered with Sanrio’s theme park in Tokyo. Passengers who purchase an EVA Air Tokyo holiday package will receive an exclusive mystery gift upon entering the park, giving Taiwanese Kitty fans even more surprises.

Additionally, aviation enthusiasts and Kitty fans have been eagerly awaiting EVA Air’s limited-edition Kitty merchandise, which is now available for sale on board. This includes three models of the Hello Kitty livery aircraft, a 3D jigsaw puzzle airplane model, and Hello Kitty aprons. These items allow Hello Kitty fans to not only bask in the joyful atmosphere surrounded by Kitty but also happily collect exclusive Kitty-themed EVA Air merchandise.
