Retro Japanese-style charm～Antong Hot Spring Hotel

The predecessor of Antong Hot Spring Hotel was once a government guesthouse for Japanese officials. The Japanese Crown Prince personally visited this place, and the original Japanese-style wooden building has been maintained and preserved. Although the only tatami-style dormitory room is simple, it deeply touches the hearts of nostalgic travelers.

In 1974, after transitioning to private management, the operator built two Western-style buildings next to the wooden structures, accommodating more visitors who come to soak in the hot springs and stay overnight. The outdoor hot spring pool has been renovated, not only expanding in size but also adding various spa facilities. The indoor baths are constructed with rugged rocks from the Hualien River, still retaining an old-fashioned rustic charm.
