Limited Edition “Five Blessings Amulets” Given Away for Free in New Taipei City

The New Taipei City Government’s Department of Tourism has carefully planned festive travel routes, especially designing a limited-edition Chinese New Year travel brochure for New Taipei City themed around the Japanese-style “omamori (amulet)” called “Five Blessings Welcome Spring,” as well as the first comprehensive tourist guide map—“New Taipei Just Like This MAP.” A limited run of 10,000 copies is now available free of charge at various tourism service centers and visitor centers across New Taipei City starting today.

The “Five Blessings Welcome Spring” travel brochure includes “Find Happiness” for star-chasers, “Enjoy Bliss” for nature lovers, “Seek Wealth” for those seeking good fortune, “Pray for Blessings” for adding a touch of festivity, and “Feel Comfort” for a quality rest. With rich and diverse themes, the content features: the Pingxi Happiness Railway Tour, Tamkang High School, Tamsui Old Street, Fisherman’s Wharf and the One Drop Water Memorial Hall, Shuangxi, Shuishe Cave, Jinguashi, Jiufen, Zhonghe’s Hulongdi Fude Temple, Shiding’s Five Roads God of Wealth Temple, Bali’s Five Blessings Temple, as well as Dharma Drum Mountain, Lingjiu Mountain, and the Three Gorges Ancestral Temple. It also highlights 24 specially selected charming homestays and 48 top-rated hotels in New Taipei City… The brochure also provides tips for seeking wealth and love, blessings advice, along with information on holiday events at related attractions.

The tourist guide map—“New Taipei Just Like This MAP”—not only introduces the unique tourism resources of New Taipei City, but also fully integrates information on various public transportation services. Based on a standard scaled map, it accurately marks the relative locations of the city’s vast array of attractions. It is available in four language versions: Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and English. The cover design is themed around cherry blossoms, tung blossoms, maple leaves, and kapok flowers, cleverly showcasing New Taipei City’s all-season appeal throughout spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
