A great place to stay, dine, and admire plum blossoms during the Spring Festival ~ Meifeng Farm

Affiliated with a teaching and research unit of National Taiwan University and located near Qingjing Farm, Meifeng Farm has in recent years lifted its previous minimum group size limit of 15 visitors to promote eco-experience and environmental education. Now, reservations for just two people are also accepted!

The farm arranges one-night-two-meals or one-night-three-meals packages based on different themed activities. Meifeng Elegant Lodge within the farm has 36 guest rooms, including various room types such as double, triple, quadruple, family rooms, and rooms for six people. Most spaces feature loft designs with simple and clean interiors; the sky suite with the best view boasts floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides, offering views of the rugged Qilai Mountain scenery.

In terms of dining, the farm offers healthy and fresh seasonal meals, mainly featuring in-season fruits and vegetables from the farm and set menus. For example, when spinach is in season in spring, spinach dishes are served, and in November during the apple harvest season, apple-flavored meals are introduced...; breakfast includes traditional Chinese congee and steamed buns. Meals are served communally at shared tables, encouraging interaction and conversation among guests.

The name “Meifeng” (Plum Peak) originated between 1957–1958 during the construction of the Central Cross-Island Highway, when it was named by Mr. Chiang Ching-kuo. The farm is home to more than 20 varieties of plum trees, including Tang Plum, Jingjian Plum, Wax Plum, and Red Plum, among others. The site also features a forest area, temperate flower zone, succulent plant room, flower cultivation area, vegetable production area, and fruit tree zone... Different seasonal plants take turns showcasing their beauty throughout the year. To fully enjoy the experience, it’s recommended to stay overnight. Now, during the Lunar New Year holiday in January and February, consider heading up the mountain to catch the tail end of the plum blossom season—it will be extra festive!
