"Kingdom Yuen" creates live flower arrangements to warm up "2012 Flowers in Changhua"

Lin Chi-ling, who loves champagne roses, today attended the press conference for the "2012 Flowers in Changhua" series of events wearing a champagne-colored dress with a rose-patterned skirt FS. She joined Changhua County Magistrate Cho Po-yuan, who played the role of "Da Ren Ge," to experience flower arrangement DIY. The public can also, just like "Kingdom Yuen," experience various flower and folk art DIY activities at the Changhua Flower Exhibition from the first day of the Lunar New Year (January 23)!

Changhua County leads Taiwan in both flower production and planting area. This year, coinciding with the Year of the Dragon in the lunar calendar, a 3-meter-tall dragon-themed floral installation titled "Prosperous Dragon Auspicious Energy" will be set up in Xizhou Park, spanning over 20 hectares. Surrounding it are four adorable floral baby dragons named “Fortune,” “Prosperity,” “Longevity,” and “Joy.”

Changhua County Magistrate Cho Po-yuan said: "This is the largest flower farmers' and floral art creative exhibition in Taiwan. All flowers are locally grown in Changhua, arranged creatively by farmers. The exhibition hall will also showcase the latest varieties of eustoma and chrysanthemums. In addition to Xizhou Park, nearby attractions such as Tianwei Highway Garden, Beidou Food Area, Zhongxing Valley Castle Rice Museum, and Wanjing Art Garden are all major activity zones for this year's 'Flowers in Changhua.'"

The main venue, Xizhou Park, is open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM. In addition to various stage performances and local specialty product exhibitions, there will be a hot air balloon flight show twice a day, in the morning and afternoon (times subject to weather and wind direction). Additionally, an art float and horse carriage parade are scheduled at 10 AM and 3 PM. During the event period, Changhua County Government has also prepared 99,999 tree saplings to be given away free of charge to visitors. The flower exhibition runs until February 5—don’t miss out.
