Group Voting: Ruifang ShuiJinJiu Draws Prizes

The “Taiwan’s Top 10 Small Tourist Towns” voting campaign currently organized by the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has been led so far by New Taipei City’s Ruifang District ShuiJinJiu (Shuishe Tunnel, Jinguashi, Jiufen) with over 47,000 votes. To encourage more people to vote, the New Taipei City Tourism Bureau announced today (2/2) that anyone who joins the “New Taipei Traveler” fan page and rallies a group of 20 friends to participate in the vote will have the chance to win a two-person experience package worth NT$700 and a unique ShuiJinJiu mascot as a gift, both provided by the New Taipei City Government.

Starting now, the public can join the “New Taipei Traveler” fan page by clicking “Like” (those already following can directly join the chain), then click the “Vote for ShuiJinJiu” app link, and select 20 friends to join the chain. The “Vote for ShuiJinJiu” chain image will be simultaneously posted on the timelines of all 21 participants, giving the initiator one raffle entry. The more groups you rally, the more chances to win—but no duplicate friends allowed.

The “Taiwan’s Top 10 Small Tourist Towns” campaign offers three ways for the public to vote: “online voting,” “postcard voting,” and “mobile app voting.” In addition to online and mobile methods, voters can also get postcards at various tourism service centers across New Taipei City, Shuishe Tunnel Exhibition Art Gallery, Gold Museum, Ruifang District Office, and Jiufen Shopping Area. Each tourist service center also provides free mailing services (service hours: weekdays 08:00–17:30, holidays 08:00–19:30). The voting period ends March 9, while postcard submissions are earlier, closing on March 7, 2012, with postmark dates as the criterion.
