Go wild at the Lantern Festival in Taitung and experience the Bombing of Lord Handan

Next Monday is the Lantern Festival, and Taitung’s uniquely spectacular Bombing of Lord Handan event will officially kick off. This year, there will be 10 performances of the Bombing of Lord Handan, with the first one taking place at 12:30 p.m. on February 6th at Shinjuku Fashion Hotel in Taitung City. Meanwhile, the annual Lantern Festival divine parade and blessing event will also be held in downtown Taitung on February 6th and 7th, bringing festive excitement to the public.

Besides the first session, the other Bombing of Lord Handan events will take place as follows: 3:30 p.m. on February 6th at Triangle Park on Xinxing Road, 4:30 p.m. at Sifang Goose Meat on Zhengqi Road, 7:30 p.m. at Nanjing Road Square in Taitung City (in front of the Cultural Affairs Bureau), and 9:00 p.m. at Aizifang Leisure Beauty Salon on Gengsheng Road. On February 7th, in addition to the 2:00 p.m. session at Nanjing Road Square—which also features a Lord Handan Experience Camp and a Fortune God Cup-Tossing Activity—other events include 5:00 p.m. at Tianhou Temple Square in Taitung City (No. 222, Section 1, Zhonghua Road), 6:30 p.m. at Zhiben Railway Station, and 8:00 p.m. at No. 2, Zhengqi Road in Taitung City. Then, starting at 8:00 p.m. on February 8th, the National Folklore Performance Parade will be held at Nanjing Road Square, featuring performances by groups such as the Oriental Art Troupe, Jiutian Folklore Arts Troupe, and Yizhenxuan Electronic San Tai Zi.
