MacDinton’s Restaurant
MacDinton’s Mighty Quinn’s Barbeque is a popular NYC eatery, combining the best features of Texas and North Carolina-style BBQ. It uses wood to slow-smoke ingredients over a long period, blending the flavors of meat and timber into one, preserving the most authentic aroma and juiciness. Reflecting both Texas and North Carolina styles, the meat menu includes beef and pork, as well as Chef Hugh Mangum’s signature BBQ chicken wings.

Birdman Ramen
This is a popular Japanese ramen spot from New York, USA, which opened its first branch in Taipei’s East District in April 2016. Birdman Ramen differs from most Taiwanese ramen shops — its broth is simmered for five hours using chicken bones, wings, and skin, resulting in a rich, aromatic, and less greasy taste compared to tonkotsu broth. Birdman Ramen currently offers four types of ramen, priced between NT$200 and NT$290.

Birdman Ramen (TOTTO RAMEN) is part of the TOTTO Group, which also includes Birdman Soba (SOBA TOTTO) and Birdman Yakitori (YAKITORI TOTTO). The group originally launched Birdman Yakitori, hidden in a small alley in New York, using free-range chicken. Wu Haoming, manager of Birdman Ramen (Taipei), said that after processing the chicken, a large amount of bones were left over, prompting the owner to consider how to use them. A friend who owned a ramen shop helped develop the “chicken white soup” broth. Currently, Birdman Ramen has three branches in New York, one in Boston, and one in Taipei.
