The competition in Taiwan's Top 10 Small Tourist Towns PK Voting Campaign is fierce. Meinong District in Kaohsiung City has secured one of the 17 spots in the first phase of the shortlist with its rich Hakka culture and beautiful natural landscape and ecology. The Kaohsiung City Government and Meinong homestays have collaborated to offer various perks, including an 18% discount on accommodations for those who vote, as part of their efforts to rally support and boost visibility.

Meinong homestays and local residents have joined forces—simply fill out a voting postcard, check Meinong, and hand it to the homestay front desk to enjoy an 18% discount on your stay. These participating homestays include Renzi Mountain Villa, Zhongzheng Lake Homestay, Zhongzheng Lake European-style Villa, Lin Family Homestay, Meilv Homestay, Meinong Homestay, Meinong Qing Leisure & Sightseeing Homestay, Yan Cheng Homestay, Guilin Meinong Holiday Villa, Bai Guo Yuan Homestay, Yun Shan Ju, Hu Mei Yin, and Feng Yuan Homestay, totaling 13 properties.

In addition, homestay operators have sponsored 10 free accommodation vouchers to be given as extra gifts to those supporting Meinong. The Kaohsiung City Tourism Bureau has also contributed six free accommodation vouchers from Royal Inn Group hotels and Kangqiao Business Travel in downtown Kaohsiung to cheer for Meinong.

There are three ways to vote in the Top 10 Small Tourist Towns campaign: online via computer or mobile app at www.tensmalltowns.tw. The voting period ends at 12:00 noon on March 9. Alternatively, you can pick up campaign postcards at six travel service centers—High-Speed Rail Zuoying Station, Taiwan Railway Kaohsiung Station, MRT Formosa Boulevard Station, Love River, Qijin, and Lotus Pond—as well as at the Meinong District Office and Meinong homestays, fill them out, and mail them back. Or, you can purchase a regular postcard, download the postcard image from the campaign website, fill it out, and mail it to: 15F, No. 111, Songjiang Rd., Taipei 104, Taiwan, to the Top 10 Small Tourist Towns Selection Committee, before March 7.
