Flower Taipei’s New Thematic Exhibition Translates Floral Art into Melodious Notes

The “2012 Flower Taipei – Reblooming Splendor” floral art special exhibition, currently on display at the Competition Hall of Yuanshan Flower Expo Park, will launch a new exhibition theme titled “Melody in Bloom” from now until March 4. This collection of floral art transforms musical melodies into abstract forms and shapes, allowing the public to experience auditory effects through visual floral presentations.

This exhibition features an extensive use of orchids, using their delicate fragrance to convey the elegance of classical music. In the vibrant rock music section, innovative techniques are employed to express the energy of rock, with striking floral decorations adorning guitars and drums, highlighting the colorful spirit of rock music. The indigenous-inspired “Loving Flower Village” makes abundant use of popular Taiwanese export flowers such as eustoma, anthurium, and Oncidium. In addition to reflecting the unique rhythms of indigenous music, it also showcases high-quality floral artistry.

The “2012 Flower Taipei – Reblooming Splendor” floral art special exhibition, which runs until April 8, features rotating themes based on festivals. The upcoming theme is “Orchid Brilliance,” displayed from February 25 to March 11; followed by “Flowers and Mythology” from March 10 to March 18; and finally “Floral Green Space,” exhibited from March 17 to April 8.
