Direct flights to Huangshan promote travel cash prizes and free trips as triple giveaways

Huangshan in Anhui has long been one of China’s four great mountains. In the past, Taiwanese travelers had to drive from Hangzhou or Nanjing to see Huangshan, but since mid-January this year, with EVA Air’s direct flights, people can now see Huangshan’s beauty in just a 2.5-hour flight. To promote travel to Huangshan, the Anhui Provincial Tourism Bureau and Taiwanese travel operators have launched activities including playing games to win travel cash prizes, drawing RMB 1,000 vouchers for tour groups, and uploading photos for a chance to win a free trip to Huangshan.

Last year, there were 566,000 Taiwanese visitors to Anhui, an increase of nearly 30% from the previous year, with as many as 341,600 visiting Huangshan, making it the city’s second largest source of inbound tourists. To coincide with the EVA Air direct flights, the Anhui Tourism Bureau has launched the online event “Discover the Legend of Huangshan – Travel Cash Competition” from now until mid-March. Participants who log in during the event period and complete the quiz can accumulate points, with the top five winners receiving up to NT$5,000 in travel vouchers and gifts; additionally, anyone who uploads a photo of themselves at Huangshan to the event webpage before May 11 will have a chance to win a “Free Trip to Anhui,” with 10 spots available.

Travel agency Lion Travel has also added the promotion “Travel Anhui, Visit Huangshan, Get RMB 1,000,” offering RMB 1,000 vouchers for every group on selected “Huangshan” itineraries from March 1 to April 30. Additionally, there are limited-time special deals, such as the “Home of Huizhou Merchants, Classic Huangshan 5-Day” tour departing on March 21 and 28, starting from just NT$13,900 (before tax).
