Children's Day: Free admission to all galleries at the North American Pavilion

The North American Pavilion will offer free admission to all galleries from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on April 4, and has launched two activities for Children's Day 2012: the art installation "How Do We Know Spring Has Come?" in the lobby, and a "Special Parent-Child Guided Tour & Creative Experience." These events allow both children and adults to explore the traces of spring through art and creativity during the vibrant early spring season.

"How Do We Know Spring Has Come?" takes its theme from a catchy children’s song lyric that captures people’s imaginations and hopes for spring. Combined with art-making, the activity invites children and parents to decorate the glass curtain wall in the North American Pavilion lobby on Children's Day. A variety of colored acrylic stickers will be provided on-site, which participants can cut and arrange to depict the beautiful scenes of spring.

The Special Parent-Child Guided Tour & Creative Experience will include guided tours of the "Jiangnan Journey" exhibition by Chen Cheng-po and the "Playing with the Past, Performing the Present" contemporary art exhibition in Taiwan. Participants will then share their insights and imagination in the "209 Art Idea Space," where they will engage in experimental group creations through painting and collage, creating an artistic dialogue between modern creativity and historical classical paintings.
