Summer peak season kicks off as island resorts like ClubMed offer early-bird deals

As summer approaches, are you planning to hit the islands? ClubMed, which specializes in all-inclusive holiday packages, is offering early-bird discounts at its resorts in Ishigaki, Cherating Bay, Bali, Phuket, Bintan, and the Bintan + Singapore dual-city package. Travelers departing between April 28 and October 29 who book by April 30 this year can enjoy a discount of NT$3,000 per person. For those traveling outside peak summer periods, two people traveling together get an additional free night’s accommodation and meals per person.

With the summer travel season heating up, ClubMed is launching direct chartered flights. The service kicks off in Ishigaki, running from May 16 to October 27, allowing easy 45-minute access to the ocean resort closest to Taiwan. The ClubMed Ishigaki resort will also undergo a summer upgrade this year, featuring new sea-view bars, refined landscape rooms and suites, deep-sea diving and kids’ diving courses in collaboration with professional diving school Euro Diver, plus 15 new transparent canoes perfect for family outings. Meanwhile, the Malaysian Cherating Bay chartered flight service begins June 21 through September 5, offering a 4-hour flight to traditional Malaysian stilt-house accommodations.

Additionally, Bali, ClubMed’s flagship resort in Asia, will introduce electric scooters—Segways—this summer. Bintan Island, which attracts numerous golf enthusiasts every year, has also just completed renovations earlier in 2012. Another great deal: from now until April 30, visitors who book their holiday in person at a ClubMed booking center will not only receive a special ClubMed gift but also be entered into a draw to win a RIMOWA Salsa Air suitcase, a German brand product.
