Belgian and Japanese-Korean cross-border performances take the stage as spring travelers enjoy the tung blossom scenery in the mountain city

When spring blossoms, visiting the mountain city of Miaoli allows you to admire the tung blossoms known as "May snow." From April 14 to May 6, the Miaoli County Government will host the “2012 Spring Tour of the Mountain City – A Continuous Feast of Performances” series of events. The program includes the Korean comedy martial arts show JUMP, a crossover concert featuring Belgian piano maestro Jean-François Maljean and Harlem Yu, as well as a Taiwan-Japan music concert with Kousuke Atari and Van Fan from the movie Cape No. 7. Free ticket reservations will be available, adding an even richer cultural and artistic atmosphere to the mountain city of Miaoli.

The “2012 Spring Tour of the Mountain City – A Continuous Feast of Performances” series kicks off on the 14th and 15th with “Watch JUMP – The Korean Comedy Martial Arts Show JUMP.” This will be followed by “Listen – The Crossover Concert” on the 27th, featuring Belgian piano master Jean-François Maljean, Harlem Yu, Yoga Lin, and Lollipop F. On the 28th, “Appreciate – The Taiwan-Japan Music Concert” will star Kousuke Atari and Van Fan from Cape No. 7. Additionally, from May 5–6, there will be “Sing – The Classic Concert” with performances by Jay Chou, Richie Jen, and Huang Pin-yuan, plus the grand finale “HIGH – Idol Dance and Music Concert” starring Jolin Tsai, Gavin Nico, Alien Huang, Siao Fong-fong, and SIGMA. Tickets for all shows can be picked up at the west gate of the Miaoli County Dome Stadium. Ticket reservations for the April 14 and 15 performances are now open, while reservation periods for other shows can be found on the Miaoli County Government International Culture and Tourism Bureau website at www.mlc.gov.tw.
