All-Terrain Vehicle & Horseback Combo Tour on Kauai: Film Locations from *The Descendants*

Kauai, Hawaii, known for its stunning canyon landscapes and breathtaking coastal scenery, has been the filming location of numerous renowned movies. The award-winning blockbuster *The Descendants*, released this year, was also shot here.

Thanks to its natural advantages, Kauai already offers a wide range of jungle adventure activities, from kid-friendly expeditions to high-end valley ziplining for adults. Now, a new adventure activity has been introduced, adding even more fun to this year’s newly launched movie-themed tour. Visitors can first hop on an off-road Mudbuggy to explore the legendary Maha’ulepu area and admire its wilderness beauty, then switch to horseback riding to discover hidden coastal views. Afterward, they’ll return to the off-road Mudbuggy to tour other famous sites. This experience combines two types of transportation in one, with the whole trip lasting about three and a half hours. The cost is $208 USD (approximately NTD 6,135) per person. Water and juice are provided along the way, and each participant will receive a free scarf.

For safety reasons, children under the age of 8 are not allowed to join this tour. Additionally, due to vehicle and horse scheduling, the tour is currently only available on Tuesdays and Fridays at 1 PM. Interested travelers are advised to book in advance.
