TransAsia Airways has launched new routes to Hangzhou, Wuhan, Sanya, and Osaka successively.

Anticipating the tourism business opportunities in Hangzhou as one of the cities opened for independent mainland Chinese travelers, TransAsia Airways has operated an exclusive direct flight route from Hualien—Hangzhou starting April 19. This marks the first regular cross-strait flight route from Hualien, expected to boost the tourism and business markets in both Hualien and Hangzhou. Additionally, TransAsia Airways plans to launch routes from Hualien to Wuhan on May 7 and from Taoyuan to Sanya on May 31. Its regular flights to Japan will also commence with the Taoyuan–Osaka route on June 28, with more to follow.

To celebrate the official launch, TransAsia Airways is offering promotional airfares from April 19 to May 15. Passengers can enjoy round-trip economy class tickets for NT$6,666 (tax excluded, 14-day validity, departing from Hualien only, and departure date must be before May 15). About 20% of seats on each flight are available at this promotional rate, limited in quantity and subject to availability. Hualien’s unique mountain-and-sea scenery has long been highly regarded by mainland tourists, and Hangzhou is also among the second batch of cities newly added for independent travel by mainlanders. The tourism prospects for both destinations are promising. Visitors can explore the beautiful sights of Hualien and also take advantage of the well-designed travel routes planned by TransAsia Airways.
