Explore 12 Tung Blossom Trails in Miaoli and Experience the Beauty of Local Crafts

As May arrives, marking the season for tung blossom viewing, statistics from the Council of Hakka Affairs show that Miaoli welcomes approximately 2.9 million visitors for the blossoms, the highest in the nation. While marveling at the snow-like tung blooms and the picturesque falling petals, the Miaoli County Government has launched three cultural and creative tung blossom appreciation routes: Toufen–Sanwan–Nanzhuang, Miaoli City–Gongguan–Tongluo, and Sanyi–Tongsiao. These routes not only cover 12 tung blossom trails and one tung blossom park but also partner with multiple local cultural and creative businesses to offer discounts of 10–20% or gifts with minimum purchases. This allows visitors to choose different tung blossom travel routes while experiencing the beauty of local crafts.

The newly launched routes include the Luchukeng and Raoshan Flower Tung Blossom Trails in Toufen, the Shenzhuo Mountain Tung Blossom Snow Path and Yonghe Mountain Tung Blossom Trail in Sanyi, the Penglai Creek Fishery Conservation Trail and Round Dance Trail in Nanzhuang, the Chukuangkeng Ancient Trail in Gongguan, the Tung Blossom Happy Park and Triangle Mountain & Shuangfeng Mountain Tung Blossom Trails in Tongluo, the Flying Snow Tung Blossom Trail, April Snow Tung Blossom Trail, and Firewood Carrying Ancient Trail in Sanyi, as well as the Firewood Carrying Ancient Trail in Tongsiao. In total, there are 12 trails and 1 tung blossom park for visitors to explore.
