Macao Ice Sculpture Exhibition: A Cool - 8°C Blast in Summer

Besides heading to the mountains to escape the heat or hitting the beach for a swim in summer, the "Ice FUN World" ice sculpture exhibition in Macao is currently running until September 16th. It's open daily from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm at The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel. The exhibition features works carved from nearly 10,000 blocks of ice by 50 ice sculptors. Visitors can stroll through the 18,000 - square - meter exhibition hall and enjoy the extreme cool of - 8°C in summer. The ticket price is 100 Macanese patacas (about 390 New Taiwan dollars) per person.

The Asia's largest ice sculpture exhibition - Ice FUN World, is on display again this year at Hall F of the CotaiExpo in The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel. This exhibition is divided into 10 themed exhibition areas, including the ones full of Macao characteristics such as the "Macao Grand Prix", "Giant Pandas", and "Macao World Heritage Sites". "Night on the Galactic Railroad" is an animated film adapted by Japanese computer - graphics master KAGAYA from the famous children's literature work written by Kenji Miyazawa. It takes the audience through fields and villages on a galactic railway train to enjoy the stars in the Milky Way, and combines astronomical knowledge and constellation myths. It is suitable for family viewing. In the special exhibition of former meteorological measuring instruments, more than 20 sets of early meteorological measuring instruments provided by the Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau are on display.
