A one-day summer family trip to visit Tainan’s Michelin 3-star attraction

Planning a family trip during the summer doesn’t requirea rich itinerary. Starting from July 21, the coastal area of Nanmen in Tainan will host an in-depth one-day eco-cultural tour, featuring attractions rated as Michelin 3-star such as the Nankunshen Daitian Temple as well as the Shuangchun Coastal Recreational Area, the Blackfoot Disease Memorial Park, and more. The tour will also include guided commentary. This event is divided into 3 sessions, each with a capacity of 40 people, at a cost of 200 NTD per person, and registration is now open.

The coastal area of Nanmen in Tainan boasts abundant natural ecology and cultural resources, and has even been recommended by the Michelin Travel Guide. This one-day tour connects attractions such as the Nankunshen Daitian Temple, Shuangchun Coastal Recreational Area, Blackfoot Disease Memorial Park, Beimen Visitor Center, Qianlaiye, and Jingzijiao Salt Fields, with guides providing detailed explanations at each site. There will be 3 sessions in total, on July 21, August 4, and August 18.

The Nankunshen Daitian Temple, rated as a must-see Michelin 3-star attraction, has a history of over 300 years. Its temple architecture is the grandest in Taiwan and it is also the oldest King’s Temple in the country, having been designated as a national historic site. The Shuangchun Coastal Recreational Area is a comprehensive ecological leisure zone, featuring a mangrove observation area that includes four precious native Taiwanese mangrove species: Kandelia obovata, Rhizophora stylosa, Lumnitzera racemosa, and Lumnitzera littorea. Meanwhile, the Jingzijiao Salt Field in Beimen Township is the oldest existing tile-pond salt field in Taiwan that still practices manual salt drying, with a history of about 200 years. The colorful salt fields under the sunlight create a unique landscape in the salt-producing region.
