Budget airline JetBlue, which mainly operates flights across the Americas, has announced that every flight will offer free in-flight WiFi in the future — with speeds so fast you can even stream videos. It is the first airline in the world to make such a promise.

According to the UK's Daily Mail, this new in-flight WiFi service was previously only available to paying members, but now all passengers can use it for free. The estimated speed range is between 12Mbps and 15Mbps, allowing passengers to stream videos and use multiple devices at once without any issues.

Free WiFi has become one of the key factors passengers consider when choosing an airline. For example, Norwegian Air also offers this service, allowing travelers to connect to free in-flight WiFi in airplane mode shortly after takeoff. In the future, more airlines may follow suit — after all, the faster the internet, the more reassured travelers feel.
