New discount package for Anping and Taijiang lines launched — explore Tainan with one ticket

Explore Tainan’s ancient city with just one ticket. Starting tomorrow (the 7th), Tainan City is offering great-value “Taiwan Trip – Explore Greater Tainan in One Package” 1-day and 3-day tickets for the 88 Anping Line and 99 Taijiang Line. After arriving in Tainan by bus, train, or high-speed rail, visitors can use the 88 Anping Line and 99 Taijiang Line to tour Tainan’s historic sites, enjoy its ecology, and sample local delicacies. On national holidays and weekends before November 30, commentary staff will also be available on the 88 Anping Line and 99 Taijiang Line sightseeing buses to guide passengers and introduce the beauty of Tainan along the way.

The 1-day ticket package for the 88 Anping Line and 99 Taijiang Line, originally priced at 244 NTD, is now offered at a discounted price of 120 NTD. It includes the fare for the sightseeing and leisure bus, with unlimited rides on the day, free transfers to Tainan city bus routes operated by Kaohsiung Bus, and free entry to choose two attractions among Anping Fort, Deji Foreign Firm/Anping Tree House, Chihkan Tower, and Yidejincheng. The 3-day ticket package for the 88 Anping Line and 99 Taijiang Line, originally priced at 510 NTD, is now available for 180 NTD. In addition to 3-day sightseeing bus fares and free entry to three paid historical sites, buyers will also receive a Tainan-themed bottle opener magnet (limited to 2,000 units, while supplies last). The above ticket packages can also be used with bicycle rentals. All offers are valid until November 30, 2012. Tickets can be purchased at the Tainan Bus South Station ticket office in front of Tainan Railway Station operated by Kaohsiung Bus, or on the bus with exact cash. Tainan residents can ride for free, while non-residents who do not purchase the package can pay 18 NTD in coins or use their EasyCard when boarding.

During the summer vacation from now until August 29, the 99 Taijiang Line has expanded services: on weekdays, the extended route (to Qigu Salt Mountain) is in operation; on weekends, the regular route (to Salt Fields Eco-Cultural Village) and the extended route (to Qigu Salt Mountain) are available. The 88 Anping Line operates the regular route (from Tainan Park to Anping Sunset Viewing Platform, with a detour to the Cultural Center) on weekdays during the summer vacation, and both the regular route and the sectional route (from Tainan Park to Anping Sunset Viewing Platform, without the Cultural Center detour) on weekends.
