Rock the Summer！The Sea Music Festival kicks off first in Yehliu on July 22

Following the upcoming Gungliao Sea Music Festival taking place this week, the North Coast Sea Music Festival will soon launch in late July. This year, the festival has planned two major music events: “7/22 Yehliu Night Sweet Night – A Dream of Symphony” and “7/28 Shallow Bay Night Rock Night – Summer Night. Youth. Sea Breeze.” The events will feature performances by artists and bands such as the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra, Pan Yueyun, Power Station of Adam, Lin Fan, and Chemical Monkeys. Numerous dining and accommodation businesses along the North Coast are also offering special promotions in conjunction with the festival. In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the North Coast & Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration, visitors who check in at the Yehliu Night event on July 22 will have the chance to receive small gifts, and from 4:30 pm that day, they can also enjoy free entry to the Yehliu Geopark.

The North Coast Sea Music Festival on July 22 will take place at the Yehliu Geopark, featuring performances by the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra and the renowned soprano Pan Yueyun. The “Shallow Bay Night Rock Night” on July 28, themed “Summer Night. Youth. Sea Breeze,” will showcase a lineup of popular singers beloved by young audiences, who will perform together amidst an energetic musical wave. This year’s lineup is particularly strong: the long-established “What Band (话头班)” will kick things off with a series of catchy songs, followed by performances from star vocalists Bian Pinxian and Wu Zhongming. Chen Shian, who became a KTV favorite with his hit “Queen,” Lin Fan, the “Talented Diva” with a large fan base, and the vibrant new band Chemical Monkeys, who embody the never-give-up spirit of rock, will all bring their most electrifying performances to get the audience rocking all summer long！

For public transportation, to reach Shimen Shallow Bay, you can take the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle – Crown North Coast Line, or take the Taipei Metro Tamsui Line to Tamsui Station. From there, transfer to a Tamsui Bus heading toward Shimen, Shipai, or Jinshan (approximately every 20–30 minutes), or a Keelung Bus heading toward Keelung (approximately every 30–40 minutes), or get off at Houcuo Stop in Shimen District. To reach the Yehliu Geopark, you can take Tamsui Bus No. 862 (board in front of Tamsui Metro Station → heading toward Keelung, get off at Yehliu Stop), which runs approximately every 30 minutes with a journey time of about 80 minutes; alternatively, you can take Kuo-Kuang Bus No. 1815 (board at Taipei West Bus Station → heading toward Jinshan Youth Activity Center, passing through Zhongxiao East Road and United Daily News → get off at Yehliu Stop), which runs approximately every 20 minutes with a journey time of about 80 minutes; or take Keelung Bus No. 1022 (board near Keelung Railway Station → heading toward Jinshan, get off at Yehliu Stop), which runs approximately every 15 minutes with a journey time of about 40 minutes.
