The Malaysia Shopping Carnival is one of Malaysia’s three major shopping festivals and is the largest and most heavily discounted nationwide shopping event. Shopping centers and plazas in cities all over Malaysia—including Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Malacca, and even Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah, and Kuching, the capital of Sarawak—ensure that no matter where you travel in Malaysia, you won’t be able to resist this wave of shopping excitement.

In Kuala Lumpur, the hub of Malaysia’s major shopping malls, numerous large shopping complexes such as Suria KLCC, which features global luxury brands, fashion, and jewelry, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Berjaya Times Square, Fahrenheit 88, and others, are all running promotional campaigns. For example, Forever 21, the youth fashion brand most popular among American teenagers, is offering discounts of up to 50% off, while many other brands will also feature unbeatable deals of up to 70% off. Additionally, Vincci, the fastest-rising and most renowned Malaysian fashion brand in Asia in recent years, boasts strong design elements, trendy colors, and quality on par with Western brands—all available for just a few hundred Taiwanese dollars after discounts. In contrast, Nose, which focuses on casual lifestyle, or Jimmy Choo, the brand beloved by Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw and a global fashion icon, are must-buy shoe choices for tourists from around the world visiting Malaysia.
