A feast of flavors at the Gourmet Exhibition's Fragrance & Color Pavilion – sample delicacies from a hundred vendors in one go

The Taipei Gourmet Exhibition runs until the 15th at the Expo Park Fragrance & Color Pavilion in Yuanshan, with over 160 exhibitors. In addition to international light meals and culinary shows, as well as fruit carving demonstrations by champions, five cooking classes are scheduled each day. On-site promotions include "Exchange Receipts for Gourmet Food," "Early Bird Discounts," and "Lucky Draws with Purchases." Exhibitors are also offering special prices, with discounts as low as 1.8-fold, allowing everyone to enjoy delicious food even in the hot summer.

The Taipei Gourmet Exhibition runs daily from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM until the 15th, and features the "Exchange Receipts for Gourmet Food" campaign. Visitors can exchange their receipts from May to July 2011 for free pineapple cakes, truffle chocolate cake, prawns, and other foods and ingredients at the stage area at 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM each day. For the "Early Bird Discount," the first 100 people in line each day starting at 10:30 AM will receive a gift of organic rice.

Additionally, by collecting stamps from purchases at the five themed zones—"Themed Restaurants," "District Delicacies," "Delicious Snacks," "Specialty Souvenirs," and "City Specialty Foods"—visitors who collect three different stickers can participate in the "Lucky Draw with Purchases." Prizes include knife sets, health lingzhi mushroom packages, and meal vouchers from multiple restaurants in Taipei. Exhibitors are also offering numerous discounts—for example, the "Love Fruit" originally priced at 280 NT dollars is available for just 49 NT dollars, a 1.8-fold discount. The snow frog and abalone health set, originally 702 NT dollars, is available for 399 NT dollars at the exhibition. Even the usually non-discounted famous egg tarts are offered at a special price of 250 NT dollars for two boxes.
