Rock Night at Repulse Bay: Music Show with Stanley Chen & Freya Lim

The “7/28 Repulse Bay Night Rock Night ─ Summer Night. Youth. Sea Breeze,” part of the “2012 North Coast Listen to the Sea Music Festival” series, is set to take place this Saturday. The evening will kick off with a lively performance by the long-established North Coast band “What Band (话头班),” who will perform multiple songs. This will be followed by passionate performances from talent show singers Pian Hsien-hsien and Wu Chung-ming. Stanley Chen, who became a KTV favorite with his hit “Queen (天后),” will present classic hits. Meanwhile, the hugely popular “Queen of Edgy Tunes” Freya Lim and the energetic band Chemical Monkeys will rock Repulse Bay with their high-tempo tracks.

Chen Mei-hsiu, Director of the North Coast & Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration, stated that this year’s Listen to the Sea Music Festival offers not only a feast of sea breeze and music but also collaborates with multiple North Coast dining and accommodation businesses to launch special promotional packages. In addition to Yehliu Geo Park and Sea World, the event includes participation from six homestays and leisure farms, seventeen cafes and restaurants, three food and souvenir vendors, and six hot spring resorts and hotels, all offering either gifts for reaching certain spending thresholds or discounts ranging from 15% to 10%.

For transportation, visitors can take the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle — Crown North Coast Line from either Tamsui MRT Station or Keelung Railway Station and get off at the Repulse Bay Stop. Those using public transport can transfer from Tamsui MRT Station to Tamsui Bus bound for Sanzhi, Shimen, or Jinshan, or to Keelung Bus heading toward Keelung, with services running approximately every 20–40 minutes. Travelers starting from Keelung can take the Keelung Bus toward Tamsui from Keelung Railway Station, also about every 30–40 minutes, alighting at Houcuo Stop in Sanzhi District.
