There are truly walking trees? The Avatar Fantasy Forest Adventure in Taitung has set sail

An undisclosed primeval forest that attracted a film crew to shoot here in 2012, making you feel as if you've stepped into the fantastical forest world of Avatar. Here, there are walking trees, and ancient tribal warriors still leap across treetops in the forest. This primeval forest is located in Taitung. Riding on the continued popularity of the movie "Seediq Bale," this summer, local operators have launched the "Charming Taitung Seediq Adventure Camp" in this forest, allowing everyone to become a Seediq warrior.

The itinerary focuses on experiencing the most primitive way of life and exploring the wonders of the ecological forest, from Toucheng and Luanshan on Provincial Highway 9 to the most popular coastal area along Provincial Highway 11 — the trendy Dulan Tribe. Enjoy an exciting Amis cultural feast. The trip also includes a visit to the homeland of Avatar — the Luanshan Forest Museum, where you can see the walking trees, DIY magical Amis tree bark clothing, and experience a day in the life of a Bunun warrior.
