Family Fun Festival: Kids' Crafts, Block Printing & Grand Prizes

The Taichung City Government Cultural Affairs Bureau will host the "Print & Play – Awesome Kids' Festival" tomorrow (1st), themed around block printing. From 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, activities will be held at the Wenying Hall plaza and the 2F Taiwan Traditional Block Print Special Collection Room, featuring creative experiences, parent-child games, and handmade crafts. The event will incorporate the four major types of block printing—intaglio, relief, planographic, and stencil—offering nine hands-on workshops such as linen leaf-printed tote bags and painted mugs. The venue will also include stage performances, a cultural and creative market, and food stalls. Additionally, all participants in the "Print & Play – Awesome Kids' Festival" can enter a lucky draw for prizes, with items such as LCD TVs and shopping vouchers up for grabs, making it a perfect chance for families to enjoy a holiday outing and win big.

The "Print & Play – Awesome Kids' Festival" is themed around block printing, a traditional craft that combines painting, carving, and printing. In addition to creative experiences, parent-child games, and handmade crafts at the plaza, the event features dozens of themed booths including stage performances, a cultural and creative market, and delicious food. On the 2F Taiwan Traditional Block Print Special Collection Room, the "Mr. Eraser Creative Exhibition" and the "Block Print Little Players First Exhibition" are also scheduled, showcasing playful life imagery through various block printing techniques. Visitors can also get Mr. Eraser-branded souvenir stamps to take home.

This event also integrates the four major types of block printing—intaglio, relief, planographic, and stencil—and has designed the "Print Your Way to Retro Cool – Elective Interest Courses," including nine workshops: linen leaf-printed tote bags, handmade creative soap, iPhone tree phone cases, romantic little night lights, painted mugs, print-your-own bags, finger-carving fun, colorful travel tumblers, and a cute bento collection. Except for the free tote bag experience, other courses cost approximately NT$200–290.
