Only 8 days left to vote for Taipei’s best gift shops

The Taipei City Department of Commerce has recommended seven top Taipei gifts based on the city’s history, culture, and development—“pineapple cakes, mooncakes, dried meats, coffee, tea, trendy T-shirts, and fabric bags.” From now until September 14, the “Online Vote for Gifts – Triple Rewards” campaign is underway. Simply log in to the event website with your Facebook account to vote, and you can download store coupons and join the lucky draw. You could win a merchandise voucher worth NT$30,000.

This “Taipei Best Gift Shops” online vote allows participation via Facebook account or email by logging in to the official Taipei Gift website—Taipei Gift Shop Vote. Once logged in, you can vote. Online voting offers three rewards: First, voting for discounts—complete the vote for all seven gift categories and download discount coupons from the stores you voted for, with discounts ranging from 7% to 9%. Second, voting to win prizes—after the voting ends, 10 winners will be drawn from each of the seven product categories, totaling 70 winners, each receiving a product from a participating store in that category. Third, photo-taking for a grand prize—anyone who uses the coupon received after voting to make a purchase at the designated store can take a photo with the purchased item in-store and upload it to the “Charming Taipei. Characteristic Business Districts” Facebook event page. One lucky winner will be drawn from all voters to receive a merchandise voucher worth NT$30,000, jointly offered by Taipei’s top 100 gift shops.

In addition, showing a Taipei Shopping Card at participating stores also grants you the same voting benefits. The public can download the card design via mobile phone from the Taipei Shopping Feast official website or collect a physical card at Lion Travel’s North, North, and Keelung branches. Starting now, register your receipts for monthly mobile phone draws, and at the end of the campaign, you could also win a million-dollar grand prize.
