New Taipei City’s 199 NTD Stress-Free Day Tour Exclusively for Seniors

During the crisp autumn months of September to November, New Taipei City has launched the “Seniors’ Travel Fun GO” 199 NTD super-value day tour package. It includes two routes — “Lively Sanxia Old Street” and “Strolling Through Tamsui’s History” — with a total of 29 sessions, totaling 1,000 available spots. Starting from September 10th, residents of New Taipei City aged 65 and above can sign up, on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition, the New Taipei City Tourism website also recommends 11 forest and railway routes, along with detailed information such as public transportation, restrooms, and accessible facilities, ensuring that seniors can travel with ease and no burdens.

The “Seniors’ Travel Fun GO” offers two tour options: “Strolling Through Tamsui’s History Day Tour” and “Lively Sanxia Old Street Day Tour.” These include famous attractions in New Taipei City, covering history and cultural activities, as well as visits or hands-on experiences at local sightseeing factories such as “Soap Culture Experience Hall,” “Handicraft Workshop Creative Mochi Culture Museum,” and “Industrial Research Longevity Multi-Culture Museum,” allowing elders to share these classic Taiwanese brands and memories. Moreover, the tours are designed with seniors’ needs in mind, featuring well-equipped surrounding facilities and travel times between attractions not exceeding one hour to avoid fatigue. Residents of New Taipei City aged 65 and above can sign up starting September 10th through Lion Travel’s various branches across the city.

The “Seniors’ Travel PAPAGO” section under the “Play Themes” on the New Taipei City Tourism website recommends 11 senior-friendly routes under four major themes: “Phytoncide Forest Bathing Lifestyles,” “Intellectual Art & Railway Journeys,” “Historical Cultural Deep Dives,” and “Sea Breeze Delicious Leisure Trips.” The content includes detailed information on public transport, restrooms, and accessible facilities, allowing seniors to enjoy their trips safely, comfortably, and stress-free.
