After summer vacation, tour prices drop in the UK and Canada by up to 5,000

Although this year's summer overseas travel market did not meet expectations, the crisp autumn air is the perfect time for a trip. The Travel Quality Assurance Association has announced price fluctuations for tours from October to December, with tour prices generally slightly lower than during the summer period. The biggest drops are seen in Canada and the UK. In Canada, prices have dropped by approximately 10,000–15,000 yuan, while the UK has just concluded the Olympics, with a drop of about 5,000–15,000 yuan. Now London has many architectural sites and street public art, and the Harry Potter film studio opened this year, making it a great choice for an autumn trip.

The autumn seasons in Japan and South Korea are prime times for maple leaf viewing. Although autumn airfares have dropped, the maple season has driven up hotel prices in October, resulting in only a slight overall drop in tour prices from July to September—just 1,000 to 3,000 yuan. Southeast Asia’s travel season is entering its low period, with tour prices showing little difference from the previous quarter, at around 500–2,000 yuan. Prices for travel in mainland China fluctuate slightly by month. The recent earthquake in Yunnan has not affected itineraries in Kunming, Lijiang, and Dali. Additionally, with China’s long holiday in October and the arrival of the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival in December, tour prices for these two months are slightly higher.

Tour prices for the US and Canada routes have dropped compared to the same quarter last year due to lower airfare, hotel, and vehicle costs, and are also more than 10,000 yuan cheaper than during the summer. For those planning an end-of-year vacation abroad, some operators offer themed travel packages around American holidays, including Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve. Meanwhile, eastern Canada from late September to mid-October is also a great time for maple leaf viewing. New Zealand and Australia are entering spring, with upcoming itineraries focusing mainly on flower viewing. Prices have risen slightly by about 2,000 yuan. China Airlines has added flights extending from Sydney to Auckland, with daily services via Brisbane or Sydney to Auckland, making travel to Australia or New Zealand very convenient for travelers.

In addition, Vietnam has developed many new attractions and hotels, offering travelers more diverse options. Myanmar has reopened for tourism reforms, becoming a key country promoted by operators in the Indochina region. Due to increases in airfare, taxes, and hotel prices, tour prices have risen by about 1,000–3,000 yuan compared to the previous quarter.
