The list of finalists for the prestigious Dazhong Art Exhibition, often dubbed the "Golden Horse of the art world," has been announced

Known as the "Golden Horse of the art world," the "Dazhong Art Exhibition" is entering its 17th year this year. The exhibition will run daily from October 20 to November 8, from 09:00 in the morning to 21:00 in the evening. This year’s entries come from 33 countries and regions, totaling over 1,500 works, divided into 11 competition categories: Craft, Sculpture, Digital Art, Photography, Printmaking, Watercolor, Oil Painting, Gouache, Seal Carving, Calligraphy, and Ink Wash. From these, 212 award-winning works will be exhibited, including pieces by international artists such as Japan’s Kitagawa Tarō. Additionally, the most anticipated "Dazhong Award" of the exhibition will select five winners from the first-place recipients of the 11 categories, with the awards ceremony to be held at Zhongshan Hall at 16:00 on October 20.

A total of 1,592 works were submitted to this year’s Dazhong Art Exhibition, including contributions from artists across 33 countries and regions such as Mainland China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Romania, Israel, Japan, Australia, Mexico, the United States, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Ireland. After preliminary and final reviews, 212 outstanding works were selected as award winners. This year, several international artists stood out, such as Japan’s Kitagawa Tarō, who won first place in the Sculpture category, Poland’s Mikolaj Jackiewicz, who took second place in Digital Art with a piece featuring mirrored reflections, and artists from the United States and Mainland China, who each secured spots in the Printmaking, Photography, and Seal Carving categories.

As for the most anticipated "Dazhong Award" of the exhibition, it will be contested among the first-place winners of the 11 competition categories. This year’s finalists are: Craft – Wu Ming?, Sculpture – Kitagawa Tarō, Digital Art – Zhuo Jiewei, Photography – Xu Guiyi, Printmaking – Gao Chunying, Watercolor – Guo Xinyi, Oil Painting – He Huizhi, Gouache – Chen Yijia, Seal Carving – Gu Yaohua, Calligraphy – Shi Chengyou, and Ink Wash – Wu Rixian. The Dazhong Art Exhibition awards ceremony will be held on October 20 at Zhongshan Hall, featuring performances by renowned groups — Chuan Yuan Culture and Arts Troupe and Taffy Temple. All attendees of the awards ceremony will receive a copy of this year’s exhibition album. The public can also participate in the "Dazhong People’s Choice" Facebook voting campaign by liking and casting their sacred vote for their favorite artwork, with a chance to win great prizes.
