Up to NT$23,760 subsidy for wedding photoshoot tours in Kinmen

Local governments across Taiwan continue to roll out innovative ways to promote tourism. Following the renowned Shimen Wedding Square on the North Coast and the wedding ceremonies under the Sacred Tree in Alishan, Kinmen County Government has also introduced a subsidy of up to NT$23,760 for each couple and their photography team from now until April 30, 102 (2013). They are inviting both domestic and international visitors to come to Kinmen for wedding photoshoots, combining travel and photography. Additionally, three competitions will be held: the Professional Photographer Category, the General Public Category, and the Microfilm Category, allowing participants to discover Kinmen’s romantic and blissful charm from various perspectives.

The application period for the 101st Kinmen Wedding Photoshoot Subsidy runs from now until April 30, 102 (2013). Both domestic and international couples who had their wedding photos taken in Kinmen from November 101 (2012) onwards are eligible to apply, and applications can also be made by travel agencies or wedding studios. The subsidy is divided into two phases. The first phase selects the first 30 applicants, covering round-trip airfare or ferry tickets for the couple and the photography team, two days of local transportation, one night’s accommodation in two rooms, with a maximum subsidy of NT$23,760 per group. The second phase includes applicants 31 to 100, with a subsidy of NT$8,000 per group. All subsidy applicants will receive a Kinmen love keepsake set.

 

For the Professional Photographer Category of the Wedding Photography Awards, any photographer who has taken wedding photos in Kinmen from November 101 (2012) to March 22, 102 (2013), is eligible to participate. The submission period runs from now until March 22, 102 (2013), 5:00 PM. Participants need to select three sets of wedding photos taken in Kinmen during the event period, write a description of no more than 200 words for each set, and send them to the dedicated event email address to apply. The top three winners of this competition will receive prizes of NT$50,000, NT$20,000, and NT$10,000 respectively.

For the General Public Category of the Wedding Photography Awards, the submission period runs from now until March 15, 102 (2013), 5:00 PM. Participants simply need to select one wedding photo taken in Kinmen during the event period, write a photo caption of no more than 30 words and a love story introduction of no more than 200 words, along with the application form, and email them to the dedicated event email address to apply. From March 18, 102 (2013) to April 18, 102 (2013), 11:59 PM, the top three photos with the highest number of likes and shares combined will each receive prizes of NT$50,000, NT$20,000, and NT$10,000. The lists of winners for the Photographer Category and the General Public Category will be announced on the event’s official website on April 22, 102 (2013).
