Fireworks light up the sky for 600 seconds as the Zhongli New Year’s Eve Party kicks off at the Qingpu High-Speed Rail Station

As December draws to a close, details of New Year’s Eve events across various locations are being announced one after another. This year’s “Zhongli City 2013 Welcome New Year’s Eve Party” will be held on December 31st in front of the Qingpu High-Speed Rail Station in Zhongli. The performances will begin at 18:00 in the evening, and feature performances by artists such as Sodagreen, Rainie Yang, Lin Yuqun, Ko Yo Luen, Xu Jia Ling, MC HotDog, Yoga Lin, and Kang Zhen Ting. The event also plans to stage a spectacular 600-second-long fireworks display to ring in the new year. Additionally, shuttle bus services will be provided between Taoyuan Bus Zhongli Terminal and the event venue from 16:00 to 19:30 on December 31st, and from 00:00 to 01:30 on January 1st, 2013.

This year’s Zhongli New Year’s Eve Party will be hosted by Jacky Chen and Gillian Chung. At 18:00 in the evening, the event will open with a performance by the Zhongli Community Moms’ Group, followed by a star-studded concert from 18:45 until just before the countdown. The lineup includes Lin Yuqun, Ko Yo Luen, Sodagreen, Da Fei, Zhang Lidong, Li Jia Wei, Chen Shi An, Bii, Deng Fu Ru, Rainie Yang, Huang Wen Xing, Xu Jia Ling, Kang Zhen Ting, and others. Renowned for his rap music, MC HotDog will also deliver a 30-minute performance just before the countdown, while singer Yoga Lin will perform an additional song after the countdown.

 

In addition, this year’s event also features the “Charming Goodies” campaign. The first wave is the Check-in A Goodie activity — on New Year’s Eve, participants can search for “Zhongli City 2013 Welcome New Year’s Eve Party” on Facebook at the event venue, show their check-in to service desk staff, and receive a fluorescent cheering stick. The second wave is the lucky draw — attendees can collect a limited-edition raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes from 19:00 onwards at the service desk.
