4-day New Year holiday free tour of Tainan Michelin attractions adds more guided tour slots

In response to the 4-day New Year’s holiday from December 29 this year to January 1, 2013, the guided tour schedule for the Tainan Michelin three-star journey will not only provide free city sightseeing tours during the original time slots but will also offer round-the-clock service from December 31 to January 1, adding six extra free guided tour sessions. The “Anping Old Street Tour” will have additional sessions from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on both days, totaling four sessions, with the meeting point at the main entrance of Anping Tree House (No. 108, Gubao Street, Anping District, Tainan City). The “Tainan Historical Stroll” will have an additional session from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on both days, totaling two sessions, with the meeting point at the main entrance of the National Museum of Taiwan Literature (No. 1, Zhongzheng Road, West Central District, Tainan City).

Planned by the Tainan City Government Tourism Bureau, the “Anping Old Street Tour” and “Tainan Historical Stroll” are both three-hour walking tours. The routes incorporate local resources, literature, landscapes, historic buildings, and renowned old eateries, connecting Michelin Green Guide-starred attractions with nearby historic sites, landmarks, and culinary spots. A free tourist guide map is available for visitors, featuring introductions to the history and locations of each site, recommended cultural and craft shops to visit, as well as accommodation and dining suggestions along the way, enabling tourists to make the most of comprehensive travel information to explore Tainan’s recommended attractions.

In addition to providing professional guided tours free of charge during the holiday period, the “Anping Old Street Tour” and “Tainan Historical Stroll” also offer free guided services every Saturday and Sunday, with a limit of 20 people per session. Each guided tour lasts three hours, and reservations can be made one week in advance by contacting the Tainan City Government Tourism Bureau at 06-299-1111 ext. 8819.
