Free jet ski experience with a maritime twist at Xingda Port for New Year's Eve

With the New Year’s holiday weekend approaching, the Kaohsiung City Government Marine Bureau and the Xingda Port Fishermen's Association will hold the “Welcome 2013 Happy New Year’s Eve Series of Events at Lover’s Wharf” from December 29 to 31 at Lover’s Wharf in Xingda Port. The program includes musical performances, free jet ski experiences, and the chance to sample hairtail and crab dishes. On the evening of December 31, a fireworks show will also countdown to the new year together with the public, offering a maritime-themed New Year celebration.

This year’s Happy New Year’s Eve series at Xingda Port will invite professional jet ski instructors to offer free jet ski riding experiences from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on December 30, as well as display rare water sports boats for the public to view. In addition, winter is the peak season for hairtail and crab, which are also specialty catches of Xingda Fishing Port. A free tasting event for hairtail rice noodles and crabs will be held, allowing the public to enjoy warm, delicious seafood dishes in the cold weather. Throughout the event period, various musical performances are scheduled, and on the evening of December 31, a happy fireworks countdown will take place, letting everyone ring in the New Year happily at Xingda Port’s Lover’s Wharf with dazzling, colorful fireworks.
