Situated at the foot of Yushan and the starting point of the Suhua Highway, Nantou County’s Shuili Township will hold the “2013 Shuili Iron Horse Tourism & Leisure Tour” on March 9. On that day, the street parade carnival will set off at 16:00 from the entrance of Shuili Township Office, while the leisure evening event will take place from 18:00 to 21:00 on Minzu Bridge. The cycling competition for free riders is scheduled for March 10 from 05:00 to 09:00, starting from Shuili Township Office and heading to Tatachia on the Suhua Highway.

This year’s welcome event for cyclists in Shuili Township has planned the “Iron Horse Tourism & Leisure Tour.” Anyone who completes the ride along the Chengcing Trail on a bicycle will have a chance to receive gifts. The “Vintage Bikes & Old Photos Exhibition” will showcase old photos and classic bicycles from the township. In addition, the event will offer raffle tickets to participants and riders, as well as discount coupons for Shuili’s local snacks. A variety of Shuili delicacies will be available at food stalls set up around Minzu Bridge, allowing participants and riders to enjoy the evening event while sampling local specialties.
