The Taiwan International Orchid Show opens in March with free shuttle buses for orchid lovers

The world-renowned Taiwan International Orchid Show, listed among the world's top three orchid exhibitions, will take place from March 9 to March 18 at the Taiwan Orchid Plantation in Houpi District, Tainan City. This year, the Taiwan International Orchid Show has also set up orchid-themed entrance installations at various tourist spots, including high-speed rail stations, hotels and inns within Tainan City, and local communities, showcasing the beauty of orchids. To facilitate public visits during the exhibition period, the Tainan City Government has arranged two free shuttle bus routes with orchid-themed paintwork for visitors. Those using public transportation can also enjoy discounted ticket prices.

A total of two free shuttle bus routes are in operation. Route one runs from Chiayi High-Speed Rail Station to the orchid exhibition venue, with a 45-minute interval and 26 services available from 08:30 to 18:45. Route two runs from Tainan Railway Station in Xinying to the orchid exhibition venue, with a 20-minute interval. On weekdays, there are 55 services from 08:20 to 18:40, while on holidays, additional services are added with intervals shortened to 10 minutes, offering 108 services from 08:20 to 18:30.

In addition, visitors who wish to explore the orchid show as well as experience Tainan’s local cuisine and attractions should not miss the “March Orchid Exhibition Month” special offers. From March 1 to March 31, visitors can present their orchid show tickets at fifty local tourism businesses, including hotels, homestays, tourist factories, amusement parks, leisure farms, food and souvenir shops, and local cultural museums, to enjoy immediate discounts on purchases.
