The National Science and Technology Museum Welcomes Spring with a Blooming Floral Art Exhibition Starting March 28

During the warm and flowery Spring Festival holiday, from March 28 to April 7, the National Museum of Natural Science and the American & Canadian Floral Design Association will jointly present the “Spring Blossoms – Qingming Festival Floral Art Design Exhibition.” Using structural and window-style display techniques, the exhibition employs various methods such as binding, perspective, gluing, weaving, and knotting to express a fashionable style and design art, while also incorporating lively and playful elements to present a vibrant and colorful floral art world.

The structural floral art design technique used in this exhibition originates from the organic natural architectural design pioneered by the renowned American architect Frank Lloyd Wright, which does not hide the characteristics and features of the materials used but respects natural resources and open spaces. When applied to floral art creation, it involves reducing the use of foam and deliberately displaying the structural or binding materials as part of the design to enhance visual impact, constructing different styles of structural forms and aesthetic shapes.

 

In addition, the characteristic of window-style floral design is to create stunning effects within a defined space, from flat to three-dimensional, based on a set theme and atmosphere. Each piece showcases the ingenious combination of seasonal flowers and natural materials, making it worthy of close appreciation.
