Children's Day fun play: Buy one adult ticket, get one child ticket free — huge savings!

The highly anticipated four-day Qingming and Children's Day holiday is just around the corner. Domestic theme parks have launched various promotions for children, including free entry for children when accompanied by an adult ticket holder, along with popular cartoon characters and animal stars to entertain the little ones. Additionally, events like lavender festivals, nighttime firefly viewing, skywalks, and high-quality performances with exotic flair are guaranteed to bring laughter and lasting memories for the whole family.

Six operators offering free child admission when accompanied by an adult ticket holder include: “Yehliu Ocean World,” where children under 12 can enter for free upon presenting their National Health Insurance card (April 4); “Leofoo Village Theme Park” for children under 12 (April 4–7); “Atayal Resort” for children under 6 (April 1–30); “Janfusun Fancyworld” for children under 6 with a household registration booklet or NHI card (April 1–30); “Chianan Shanjian Jiangnan Resort” for children under 12 upon presenting an NHI card or household registration booklet (April 4–7); and “Shangri-La Amusement Park” for children under 12 (April 4–7).

For entry discounts, “Lihpao Land” offers a NT$100 discount on children's tickets if they wear school uniforms (sportswear also accepted) or baseball jerseys. Also, The Fullerton Hotels’ afternoon tea is free when accompanied by an adult (April 1–7). “Dongshi Forest Farm” offers a special starlight firefly viewing ticket for NT$160 for entry at 3:00 PM on weekdays (until April 30). “8 Great Forest Park” gives half-price entry (just NT$175) for elementary and middle school students when accompanied by parents (April 4–7). “Yanhuang Ocean Park” offers residents of Hualien a discounted entrance fee of NT$590 (original price NT$890) with ID, while residents of Yilan and Taitung enjoy a NT$790 ticket price (original NT$1090) and receive a NT$200 cash voucher on-site. “Baxian Coast” offers a one-day spring tour for NT$899 and a two-day tour for two people at NT$2,999. Purchasing any full-price, concession, or starlight ticket includes a complimentary afternoon tea.

 

For theme park promotions, “Dongshi Forest Farm” offers a firefly eco-tour on Mondays and Thursdays in April for just NT$1,500 per person. In conjunction with the Taichung City Tourism Bureau’s Children’s Week event, children can purchase discounted tickets for NT$160 (April 2–7). “Yanhuang Ocean Park” participants in the 2013 Yanhuang Ocean Children’s Ecological Education Painting Competition can enjoy a discounted NT$390 entry fee (original NT$590). With the artwork data card stub B, dinner at the English-style buffet restaurant at Yanhuang Royal Hotel is free for kindergarten children and half-price for elementary school students (ages 6–12). “Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village” offers a discounted ticket price of NT$580 in conjunction with the Purple Love Lavender event, plus free rides on the Sun Moon Lake One Piece sky cable car. “Cloudland Amusement Park” gives the chance to win a free lodging coupon by liking their FB fan page or posting a photo of the Cloudland "Firefly Origami" attached to the Tree of Life, uploaded to the park’s FB page.
