Opened on April 15, 1983, the Tokyo Disney Resort is set to celebrate its 30th anniversary this year. The grand festivities will run from April 15 of this year through March 20 of next year — over these 340 days, the Tokyo Disney Resort will deliver an unprecedentedly lively celebration, with a variety of themed merchandise sure to capture fans' hearts.

Tokyo Disneyland has long been one of the key destinations for Taiwanese tourists visiting Japan. For this occasion, Tokyo Disneyland has also launched a Taiwan Special Passport, allowing Taiwanese visitors to purchase tickets in advance and skip the queues. Holders of the Taiwan Special Passport can also enjoy shopping discounts at Ikspiari. The passport is valid from April 1, 2013, to March 1, 2014, and allows entry at any time during park operating hours, with the option to choose either Disneyland Park or DisneySea.
To mark the arrival of the 30th anniversary, Disney characters will also make goodwill visits to 30 cities across Japan. The celebratory events within the parks and the specially designed 30th-anniversary decorations are sure to immerse visitors in a festive atmosphere.

A brand-new parade show: “Happiness Is Here”
One of the most popular parade shows at Tokyo Disneyland, “Happiness Is Here” draws both children and adults to line up along the parade route an hour before the show begins, eagerly awaiting the arrival of Disney characters and the dedicated performers. The joyful music and lively dances will once again bring the themes of music, friendship, and dreams to life. Through this uplifting parade, every visitor is encouraged to flash their happiest smiles and share the warm feeling of “Happiness is Here.”

Nighttime Fireworks Show: “Happiness On High”
Set to the 30th-anniversary theme song, a dazzling fireworks display lights up the night sky. As the colorful bursts illuminate the air, guests can reflect on the memories made throughout the day. With Cinderella Castle providing a romantic backdrop, the show is perfect for families, friends, or couples — offering a warm and magical atmosphere that touches the heart.

Ocean Spectacular: “Happiness Greeting On The Sea”
Having opened 12 years ago, DisneySea also unveils a brand-new show exclusive to the water park for this 30th-anniversary celebration: “Happiness Greeting On The Sea.” Watch as Disney characters sail the seas, greeting and waving to every visitor around the waterfront. Everyone joins in waving back to the characters, creating an electrifying and joyous scene.
The grand 30th-anniversary celebration also includes a wide array of must-have merchandise for Disney fans. Highlights include Mickey and Minnie doll keychains, cute oversized-ear headbands, candies and cookies, stationery, and mugs. In addition, there are both “collectible” and “personalized” items for fans to choose from and treasure.

DisneySea’s most popular character in recent years, Duffy the Bear, also gets a 30th-anniversary exclusive merchandise line, available only at DisneySea starting April 12. Fans and visitors who love Duffy won’t want to miss it.
