Day 1: Breakfast on Wenkang Street → Take a boat from Chiwei Pier to Jiabei Islet → Kuibi Mountain → Water activities along the South Ring Coast → Fengui Cave → Snake Head Mountain → Zhongzheng Road in Magong City → Watch sea fireworks at Guanyin Pavilion

Must-try Food: Breakfast on Wenkang Street

In the 1980s, the Penghu County Government planned several themed streets in downtown Magong, and Wenkang Street’s breakfast street was one of them. Although it’s called a breakfast street, the offerings are similar to typical lunch and dinner fare.

Wenkang Street’s breakfast street generally refers to the area from Wenkang Street to Minsheng Road. Here you’ll find “Yifeng Soy Milk Shop,” famous for its soy milk, egg pancakes, fried dough sticks, and sesame pancakes; “Erxin Rice Balls” located outside the Erxin Minsheng Branch at the intersection of Minsheng Road and Chongqing Street; “Xiangting Fish Soup” known for its sweet broth; and the always-crowded “Beixinqiao Beef Offal Soup,” among others. Please note that these shops only serve breakfast, typically closing around 12:00–1:00 PM, with the busier ones selling out by around 8:30 AM.

Must-visit Attraction: Jiabei Islet

The most unforgettable sight on Jiabei Islet is its golden shell sand, which stretches for several kilometers. At the end of the beach, due to the effects of ocean currents, a sand spit 800 meters long and 200 meters wide extends into the sea—something unique across Taiwan. The waters around Jiabei Islet feature 88 large and small stone weirs. The beach, the sand spit, and the stone weirs are the island’s most distinctive natural and man-made landscapes. Meanwhile, the Jiabei Islet Water Activity Area at Jia Bei Mountain offers exciting activities such as banana boat rides, jet skis, parasailing, and snorkeling.

Must-experience Activity: Watching Sea Fireworks at Guanyin Pavilion

The Penghu Sea Fireworks Festival, an annual event that attracts many domestic and international tourists to Penghu, this year centers around the theme “The Most Beautiful Bay, The Most Spectacular Fireworks.” From now until June 24th, fireworks will be launched every Monday and Thursday evening from 9:00 to 9:15 PM at the Guanyin Pavilion area, along with performances by group artists, making the summer nights on Jade Island exceptionally lively.

Must-visit Attraction: Cross-Sea Bridge

The Cross-Sea Bridge connects Baisha Township and Xiyu Township. The old bridge began construction in 1965 and took five years to complete, spanning 2,478 meters across the turbulent and treacherous “Houmen Channel.” At the time, it was the longest deep-sea bridge in the Far East. Due to severe erosion, the old bridge has been replaced by a new two-lane bridge completed in 1996. It’s common to see anglers braving strong winds and scorching sun to fish here, and walking the bridge at dusk to watch the sunset offers a unique experience.
