This year’s Masago Music Festival features an impressive lineup, including Golden Melody Award winner Penny Tai, rock legend Chang Chen-yue, pop diva Della Ding, leading rock band Quartet, and rising acts such as Power Station, Universe, and Bear Baby—totaling 10 talented artists performing back-to-back over two days. The final night of the event will feature a “Summer DJ Dance Party,” with Taiwan’s renowned club 18TC’s top DJ spinning tracks, go-go dancers keeping the crowd energized all night, and 100 limited-edition masks available for guests to enjoy a mysterious evening.

Beyond breaking the traditional image of Tainan as an ancient capital through music, this year’s event highlights youthful folk songs and passionate rock across two days of diverse musical performances, showcasing the rich and varied music scene of Tainan. Coupled with food, accommodations, and other fun activities, you’ll get to experience the best that Tainan has to offer in cuisine, entertainment, and sightseeing. Nearly 48 food stalls will be set up during the two-day event, allowing visitors to sample a wide array of authentic Tainan street food and popular local snacks and gifts.

In addition, the Tainan City Government Tourism Bureau has partnered with Chan Star Travel, Sanfu Travel, and Wufu Travel to launch one-day and two-day Tainan Masago Music Festival tour packages. These itineraries include visits to Anping Old Street and Nanxiang Tianhou Temple to explore Tainan’s historical legacy, as well as stops at sites like the Jingzijiao Tile-Pan Salt Fields to discover the area’s unique ecology. Event Update: Due to the impact of Typhoon Soulik, the “2013 Tainan Masago Music Festival” originally scheduled for July 12th and 13th at Masago Beach Recreation Area in Tainan’s Jianguo District has been postponed.
