Penghu Beach Carnival to Kick Off on August 17 with Concerts

 

Centered around “the most beautiful bay in the world – Penghu,” the “2013 Penghu Beach Carnival” integrates beach activities across the region including Lindou Beach, Aimen Beach, Guanyin Pavilion, Magong Fishing Port, and Chi] Fishing Port. The event will kick off on July 27 and run for over three months. With weekly themed holiday events, this year’s Penghu Bay promises to be even more exciting. This year’s opening beach concert will be held at 5:00 PM on August 17 at Aimen Beach, featuring performances by singer Chen f and the New Taiwan Harmony Band to liven up the beach atmosphere. Enjoy a romantic evening on Penghu with sea breezes, the sound of tides, and a dazzling fireworks show.

Over the nearly three-month event period, there will be weekly activities, with around 20 exciting programs. These include thrilling survival experience camps where, under the guidance of professional coaches and against the backdrop of Penghu’s unique terrain, participants will devise battle strategies and push their limits. In the evenings, there will be beach music parties with well-known DJs playing carefully curated latest dance tracks, letting you dance freely under the moonlight on the sand.

This year’s event also features open-air cinema, but the screenings will take place on Penghu’s beaches, allowing the public to enjoy movies comfortably under the stars, either sitting or lying down in the sea breeze. In addition to screening popular films, the event will also feature a series of romantic love movies for Valentine’s Day, offering couples a romantic beach night.
