Look up at the romantic pink sky above you – three stunning cherry blossom seas not to be missed in February

As February arrives, it's once again the annual cherry blossom season. Have you planned your cherry blossom viewing trip this year? Cherry blossoms across Taiwan have begun to bloom one after another, with the most beautiful period expected from mid-February to late February. ETtoday EBC has compiled three must-see cherry blossom seas — take a stroll under the romantic pink sky with family, friends, or your loved one.

1. Wuling Farm
The most iconic spot for cherry blossom viewing is Wuling Farm. This year, the Wuling Farm cherry blossom season kicks off on February 11 and will run until the end of February. With a daily visitor cap of 6,000, the variously colored cherry blossoms quietly blooming among the layers of mountains create a gradient pink sea of flowers — a breathtaking sight.

2. Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village
The cherry blossoms at Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village are even certified as a renowned viewing spot by Japan. Every season, the spectacular sight of 5,000 cherry trees in full bloom makes visitors linger. This year’s cherry blossom season at the village runs from February 2 to 28, with peak blooming expected in mid-to-late February.

3. Alishan
For cherry blossom spots in southern Taiwan, you definitely can’t miss Alishan. According tothe “Strolling in the Clouds – Alishan”Facebook page, the kaizuka cherry blossoms at Xikeng, Shizhao, and Taihe are already in full bloom, with some starting to fade, while the fuyuzakura (winter cherry) throughout the mountain area are gradually coming into bloom. Blooming is expected to continue until around late February.
