TransAsia Airways' new route: early departures and afternoon returns to Tokyo starting September 26

Japan has always been a top travel destination for Taiwanese tourists, and the recent depreciation of the Japanese yen has further boosted interest in various Japanese cities. Starting September 26, TransAsia Airways will officially launch its Taoyuan–Tokyo Narita route. This is the ninth Japanese destination opened by TransAsia Airways since the liberalization of air travel between Taiwan and Japan, and Tokyo is the first capital city in Northeast Asia to be served by the airline. With TransAsia Airways joining the market, it is expected to offer more diverse options for business and tourism exchanges between the two regions, meeting growing travel demands.

TransAsia Airways’ Taoyuan–Tokyo route will be operated using either the A320 aircraft, which can accommodate 150 passengers, or the A321, with a capacity of 182 passengers. The airline will offer one round-trip flight per day, departing Taoyuan at 8:10 a.m. and arriving in Tokyo at 12:20 p.m. local time. The return flight departs Tokyo Narita Airport at 1:20 p.m. and arrives back in Taoyuan at 3:45 p.m., with a flight duration of approximately 3 hours and 10 minutes. Leaving Taipei in the morning and having lunch in Tokyo by noon, then returning to Taipei in the afternoon with an evening to rest before the next work or school day, this early-departure, afternoon-return schedule is ideal for office workers and families planning trips.
