Noting that over 60% of Taiwanese travelers to Hong Kong are from the younger demographic, the Hong Kong Tourism Board is actively expanding its social media marketing by extending its travel promotion platform to the messaging app “WeChat.” The official account “Hong Kong Together” (ID: hktbtw) will officially launch tomorrow (August 1). To celebrate the launch, the Hong Kong Tourism Board and China Airlines are offering a lucky draw for round-trip Hong Kong flights at the special price of 4,888 yuan for a buy-one-get-one-free deal. The draw will run for 10 consecutive days, with 80 sets of tickets given away each day. Additionally, 11 adorable dynamic stickers featuring the popular Hong Kong cartoon character McDull will be launched to make chatting more fun.

This special offer of 4,888 yuan (before tax) for a buy-one-get-one-free Hong Kong flight ticket includes a total of 800 spots. Users just need to download WeChat, add “Hong Kong Together” as a friend, check the “Follow” message, and reply with “1” to join the draw. Winners can also find out instantly if they’ve won. Each account can participate in the draw once per day, and winners must complete their Hong Kong trip by September 15. As for the 11 McDull dynamic stickers, designed with authorization from the McDull company and featuring fun actions such as dieting, eating delicious food, and chasing buses, they will be available for free download.
Additionally, the Hong Kong Tourism Board has leveraged the feature of voice messages by creating a mysterious character named “9527,” and invited Jackie Chan’s exclusive voice actor, Mr. Shih Pa-yu, to lend his iconic voice to promote Hong Kong tourism. By adding “Hong Kong Together,” users can receive a welcome greeting from “Jackie,” and will also occasionally receive blessings and helpful reminders.
To coincide with Father’s Day, China Airlines’ Premium Travel is also offering special deals: stay one night at The Peninsula Hotel and get the second night free — meaning a 2-night, 3-day stay starts from just 16,500 yuan (before tax), plus over 7,000 yuan worth of daily breakfast and a couples’ afternoon tea in the lobby. Meanwhile, the Holiday Inn Express Hong Kong Kowloon is also offering a buy-one-night-get-one-night-free deal, with a 2-night, 3-day stay starting from just 10,950 yuan (before tax).
