The “Taiwan 10 Happiness & Fun Travel Routes” selection event, jointly organized by the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications and all 22 counties and cities across Taiwan, has announced its results — featuring 10 one-day and 10 two-day fun itineraries. The goal of these 10 Happiness & Fun Travel Routes is to promote the use of public transportation and encourage relaxed travel, offering both domestic and international visitors more choices to experience the beauty of Taiwan at a different pace.

The “Taiwan 10 Happiness & Fun Travel Routes” selection event utilizes diverse low-carbon transport options to connect delicious, unique, joyful, and fun attractions and cuisines across Taiwan — such as bus tours around Taiwan, ferry rides in Kaohsiung, electric scooter adventures in Penghu, cycling in Hualien, and hot air balloon trips in Taitung. After three months of on-site evaluations and scoring (80%) by a professional judging panel including renowned travel writer Liu Kexiang, food critic Hu Tianlan, and long-time Taiwan resident Japanese author Aoki Yuka, along with over six million online votes cast during May and June (20%), the top 10 one-day and 10 two-day happiness & fun travel routes across Taiwan were selected.

 

As the itineraries unfold, it becomes clear that people are the most beautiful sight in Taiwan, while transportation serves as the bridge connecting the joys of travel. Many interesting encounters happen along the way.
