The Yue Xia Lao Ren shrine at Sun Moon Lake’s Longfeng Temple can be reached on foot from the Shuishe Pier in about 15 minutes. Longfeng Temple has an impressive reputation — it was once voted one of Taiwan’s top ten most efficacious temples of the Matchmaker. Originally, the shrine of the Matchmaker was located on Lalu Island, situated in the center of Sun Moon Lake, but it was relocated to Longfeng Temple after the 921 earthquake.
